Pumpkins and Leaves

Anna and John had a blast enjoying the fall weather and we took every opportunity to be outside! This was the first year we have an actual yard with actual leaves to rake, and rake we all did. John especially loved helping his dad with the yard work.

 

One of the kiddos' favorite fall activities was visiting the pumpkin farm.  We were able to make two trips this year and lucked out on the weather with sunny, beautiful days.

2nd Birthday Celebration at the Ozo Play Cafe

Anna and John celebrated their second birthdays at one of their favorite play spaces- Ozo Play Café. One thing that they both love is Caillou so that was the theme for their 2nd birthday. We had Caillou decorations and they both wore personalized Caillou shirts for their special day. They had a ball running, playing and climbing with their cousins and friends. Everyone enjoyed

The Twins are 2!

 

 

 

 

The twins turned 2 on September 17th! They had fun when they woke up running through all the balloons and hitting them, and ultimately pulling them all down :) Mommy and daddy put them up many times throughout the day! We continued our tradition of having lunch in our old neighborhood at the Mt. Adams Bar and Grill, followed by a frozen yogurt treat at the UDF. We had a beautiful, warm sunny day for the twins' celebration.

Big boy bed

At the end of August we decided to transition John from his crib to his toddler bed. Many of you know that John has been sleeping on the floor since we've moved into our new house. So, we figured that it was time to take down the crib and make it into his toddler bed. For a few weeks prior we put his mattress on the floor. Even with his mattress on the floor, most nights he preferred to sleep on the floor. We have no idea why!!! He's now been in his big boy bed for about a month, but has still not spent an entire night in it. Again, we have no idea why!!!

Anna and John were fooling around before bed, and boom! Anna pushed John into the TV stand and cut above his left eye. It was definitely a panic moment for mom and dad. Luckily our friends Erin and Mike were visiting and they helped out a ton! We decided to have John put Anna to bed and I ventured to Children's Hospital with John. The experience wasn't terrible and John was a very good boy. I'm glad that ones over!!

After John's stint in the ER, I decided it was time to do something fun for him :) A nearby park was having an event called Touch a Truck. They had army vehicles, police cars, fire engines, garbage trucks, and all kinds of tractors and such. Needles to say, both Anna and John had a blast. We even lucked out with a cool summer day.
